Liva X Squared… ECS’s new mini PC is the LIVA X -squared- not the LIVA X Two! Our bad.
Flash Alternative? Karl writes, “You keep telling us to not install or update Flash player.  What do you suggest people do that use Safari, is there another player that we can use instead?” I’d suggest using Chrome when you need Flash… and running a flashblocker.
SimplSafe Recco:  Nick writes, “We use the SimpliSafe alarm service for our home security. It’s similar to the Smanos that you reviewed. It’s totally cellular based, customizable,” and you can find out more about it in the video!
Another iSpy Recco: Ed (up in Montana) writes, “Another thumbs up on iSpy. I use that to record and do motion detection on some IPcams around my house. But instead of actual (possibly) spendy cameras I bought a few old used Android phones from eBay.” More info in the video, Ed’s done some cool stuff!
Use A Real Alarm System: John writes, “With 40 years experience in the alarm industry I have a few thoughts for you. The system you showed really is sub par to what is available. More and more police departments no longer respond to “unverified” alarm signals even from major alarm companies much less a homeowner with a DIY alarm system.”
