I think many linux distros have the same passwd “SECURITY AUDITING” functionality built in now. I know kali linux for example has john in the /etc/cron.d/ tab pointed directly at your password with a default install. This is paired is a send mail command which I couldn’t decipher. Might have been encrypted. I am not sure where its sent but I know I have not received any emails about it so my password of toor should still be secure. Thanks kali
