I've been watching Hak5 on and off since the first episode. What in the world were you doing in Springfield, MO? I live in Springfield and have been to 1984. Cool episode.

Wow! What a great episode. I'm really surprised by this episode because the Hak.5 crew seems way too young to remember any of this stuff.

The 1984 cafe looks fantastic, I hope those guys do well.

I loved the ASCIIfication of the opening and closing credits and the opening music is great. There is something very familiar about it but, I can't place it.

The BBS brought a tear to my eye. Telnet to bbs.hak5.org was an incredible idea and it's still going! There were three people logged on when I signed just prior to this post! There's mail and game doors and file transfers. I was catapulted back in time. The only thing that isn't totally authentic about it is the speed. My 300 baud modem use to paint one line at a time, taking five or more seconds to draw a screen.

I tip my hat to you. That was a great show! Great concept!

I'm a child of the 80s, so this was very enjoyable. Agree totally that even MAME cabinets just aren't the same.

Solo? Non tech? Don't sweat it. I'm sure it's challenging doing a show of this caliber on your own time, so if you need to scale back now and then, nobody should begrudge you that. Rock on!

(Long time watcher/lurker, first time commenter)

Wow. This episode rocked. Sure, it deviated from the regular formula, but it kicked _serious_ ass nonetheless. Pure awesomeness, Darren.
