That Poly-B pipe on Flickr looks like the same crap we kept having to replace in my parents house. My dad replaced every bit of it with PVC.

Praise God for Insurance

Feel bad for you guys. I've got two stories for you.

1) I had to replace the lower heating element in my electric water heater. The water quit draining b/c the drain clogged. We thought it was empty. It was still half full when I took the element out...

2) My mother-in-law's sewage stopped up. She could not afford a plumber. I explained to her that I am not a plumber. My best friend and I went off to rent a big motorized snake, despite not being plumbers. Upon opening the clean-out, all sorts of nastyness poured out onto the ground. We put the snake down the clean-out and commenced snaking. We allowed too much slack in the line. The line wrapped arround my wrist tightly. In an effort to keep my arm attached to my body, I did a flip in mid-air keeping up with the turning snake as my friend rushed to turn it off. I still have my arm, but lost my pride as landed in the flooded puddle of nastyness. It hurt like hell. It smelt like hell. Its one of my favorite stories!

Sorry to hear about that but at least it gives a reason to doing new cabling. I wouldnt mind if it was late just like Tim Perry and why couldnt it just hold on for one more esp as its the last one of the season lol.

("I see you can have an overflow buffer in real life and see what happens in the pipes :P ")

Good Luck with it all...make sure they verify that mold will not grow after the repairs. Usually they remove all wet material and then put down a anti-mold chemical to prevent mold etc.

A friend of mine had a leak that was repaired (incorrectly) and as a result had black mold growing in his walls which caused him breathing health issues until fixed correctly!!!!!

P.S. Don't worry about 3x10. I can't speak for everyone else, but personally I would rather have a good episode of Hak.5 next month then a shitty episode now.

That happened to me once, however it was in the bathroom and relatively well contained. Still sucks, I feel your pain. Actually yours is probably worse. Fortunately it looks like everything is going to work out. Could have been worse.

Man I feel for you! That is the stink poo.... I had a few months back a tree fall on my house and it sure did take a long time to get all repaired. TIP: Just make sure you check the repair against the assessments and that the assessor has assessed all the damage. Good luck!
