Episode 9 - Production Notes 1

March 25, 2006

Yes, you read the title correctly. I’m actually doing production notes. Been a while eh? Yes, I did just write eh. I blame our special guest this episode. So far everything is running smoothly. I’m very happy with the way this episode is coming out. We have some really solid segments either in the can or on the deck, and our sketch shoot tomorrow is going to be so much fun. We’re also happy to be harboring a Canadian in studio. Yes, the clever Jenn Cutter of OpenAlpha is joining us for some Hak.5 and OA fun, and she brought Guitar Hero. Wess has been practicing his micro to no end, it’s amazing he’s available to direct a segment at all ;).

I love the image quality of Jenn’s Canon XL2, but the green lens flare has got to go!

Can’t wait ’till the 5th!

Yes, that’s Sony Vegas 4.0. The background is our Hak.5 grafiti wall. Don’t worry, the red Hak.5 wall with the poster is still around. April 5th here we come!

The bottom image has awesome quality. Is that going to be video quality or is that just a picture?

  8. Administrator on March 25th, 2006 7:37 pm

That’s the video quality of Jenn Cutter’s Canon XL2. We want one (three actually) but we don’t have $20,000.

$20,000? An XL2 shouldn’t run more than 4 grand (ha, chump change). But speaking of dreaming, I want an XL H1 (HD), only $8,000! I would never turn down a Panasonic DVX100 either. What cameras do you guys use now?

  10. Administrator on March 28th, 2006 4:47 am

I was saying $20k for three of them. Currently we’re still using a Sony DCR-HC1 and Canon ZR80 (consumer cameras)

Love that graffiti you have on the background.
