IPTV Archive in the works

Moonlit and Famicoman have started a collaborative effort to archive and catalog the increasingly hard to find episodes of defunct IPTV shows. Join the preservation effort or browse the catalog thus far. This stuff is way too awesome to let erode on the net.

Some of my favorites include The Packet Sniffers, Infonomicon, From The Shadows, and of course Broken Floppy. What’s your favorite IPTV show from yesteryear?

    As much as I’d like to, I can’t take credit for starting this thing… I did decide to start the project but as it turned out Famicoman had already started doing the same thing I merged my efforts with his, so props to Famicoman too.

    Thanks for the heads up Moonlit. I’ve updated the post to reflect Famicoman’s efforts. I’m really glad you guys are doing this. I feel that it’s very important to the history of Internet television.

    What has happened to all the videos, last night Stage6 was down and now all the video in the IPTV Archive is gone, does anybody know why?

    The videos are technically still there. If I go through the channel stats, I can click on all the videos, and they still are on the server. I guess I have to regroup them.

    From the shadows was the shiit. Not that I don’t think hak5 is the best internet show ever but the beer ep was the best.

    Does anyone know what happened to these guys I mean I was pretty sure the FtS crew worked at techtv but anyways.

    @hooded: From The Shadows was the shit. I think one of the guys from the show was doing the “NotMTV” show on Rev3 http://revision3.com/notmtv/ … I’m definitely going to check out the other shows also. Thanks.

    Well then… I’m not too sure what is to be done now that its going down. I still have everything I uploaded on two drives. There isn’t really a better way for this distribution right now, but I’ll be thinking, and if you have ideas or suggestions, before to reply on the forum topic ;)
